The atmosphere of the expectation of the unknown enveloped the seminary community of Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija, Ibadan as seminarians, formators and the members of staff waited in the seminary chapel for the address of the Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Ibadan, Most Rev. Dr, Gabriel, ‘Leke Abegunrinto on January 17, 2019. Immediately after the Angelus, the Archbishop true to his name gave the joyful news, the appointment by the Holy Father of Msgr. Francis Obafemi Adesina, the Rector of Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Ibadan as the bishop-elect of Ijebu-Ode diocese. The news was received with applause and great joy visible on the faces of everyone gathered in the Chapel.

We pray God to bestow upon him the wisdom of Solomon and the courage of David, as he shepherds the flock of God entrusted to his care. Amen.
