Following the appointment of Msgr Francis Adesina on the January 17, 2019, by the Holy Father Pope Francis, the Episcopal ordination took place at the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu-Ode. The Holy Mass started at about 10a.m. on the April 25, 2019, with the presence of over thirty Bishops, over four hundred Reverend Fathers, numerous male and female religious, government dignitaries, traditional rulers and about one hundred and eighty seminarians from Saints Peter and Paul major seminary, Bodija Ibadan. It was indeed a great event whose memory will continue to linger in our hearts. We pray that the good Lord will give the new Bishop all the necessary graces he needs to shepherd the flock that has been entrusted to his care. And may the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu-Ode grow from strength to strength under his leadership. Amen.
