THE NEW FACE OF OUR SEMINARY RESTROOMS
Wednesday, October 2, 2019

The provision of a conducive formation ground is an important factor in the formation of candidates to the sacred priesthood. The Seminary of Ss. Peter & Paul holds such factor dearly as she never relents in her resolve to always make the best of structures available to her seminarians, ranging from those of accommodation to those of administration. The 2019/2020 session began with the blessing and commissioning of one of such laudable projects which include the renovation of the St. Paul and St. Kizito Blocks, with particular reference to the upgrading of their restrooms for effective usage. This project which was originally conceived by the erstwhile Rector, Most Rev. Dr. Francis ADESINA (The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu-Ode), was completed just before the students resumed for the 2019/2020 Session. And at about 8pm on the 2nd October, 2019, after the first communal prayer and a warm welcome, the seminarians proceeded to the side view of Saint Paul’s Block where the renovated restrooms with upgraded modern facilities were officially presented by the Rector Rev. Fr. Anthony Ovayero Ewherido to the Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Ibadan, Most Rev. Gabriel ’Leke Abegunrin, who then blessed and commissioned them for usage. These very beautiful and laudable projects are the fruits of the Student’s Initiative Project of the Seminary; a platform that gives seminarians in formation the avenue to also contribute to their own formation. The Seminary, therefore, continues to be grateful to all those who have contributed to the success of this immense project. Indeed, a joyful moment it was and will be for our dear seminarians, who resumed to the Seminary to meet upgraded and beautiful structures for use. While we thank all our benefactors, we humbly ask that you continue to support this course, as this is just one of our four residential blocks that need immense refurbishing. We promise you our constant prayers.
