The celebration of Mission Sunday in the Universal Church on the 23rd October, 2016 was a memorable festivity in the Seminary community. The celebration of the Holy Mass was presided over by Very. Rev. Fr. Damian Ilodigwe, the Director of the Pastoral Department. In His Homily, he urged us to call to mind the word 'Mission' which explains the nature of the Church and the reason for which she exists. As such, we are under obligation, by the virtue of our baptism, to participate actively in the works of mission.

Following this was the third edition of mission outreach programme organized by the Seminary community for the youths of the Archdiocese of Ibadan. In that mission outreach, a lecture was delivered by Rev. Fr. Martin Olowoyeye, the Director of The Pontifical Mission Societies in the Archdiocese of Ibadan on the topic 'The Church as the Visible Face of God's Mercy'. The celebration was held in the Seminary's auditorium with varied activities, oscillating round the themes of vocation and mission.

The celebration of 2017 Mission Sunday came up on the 22nd October, 2017. The celebration of the Holy Mass was presided over by Very. Rev. Fr. Joseph Iyamah the dean of students. In his homily, he admonished all to be active missionaries on the mission mandate to all the earth and carryout the missionary activities as expected by Christ .

Following this was a mission outreach programme organized by the Seminary community for the youths of the Archdiocese of Ibadan where a lecture was delivered by Rev. Sr. Florence Oso on the topic 'The Church as the Visible Face of God's Mercy'. The celebration was held in the Seminary's auditorium with varied activities, revolving round the theme “BE IT DONE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD”
