Seminar on Communion and Community Life of Priest
Sunday, February 5, 2017

It is important to school would-be priests on the challenges of community living and how to maintain a healthy and harmonious coexistence with others especially with myriads of reports about quarrels and fights among priests and between priests, religious and lay faithful. Rev Fr. Francis Adeyemi of Ilorin Diocese in company of Frs. Benedict Uwanaka and Daniel Izebuno were invited to take the seminarians on this very vital session. Among other things, they were spoken to on communion with God, Local Ordinary, Fellow Priests, Consecrated persons, Laity and the Environment. The recurring point was that a priest is happier when he is in peace with all these relevant others and depressed and frustrated when he picks quarrel and fight with them. Furthermore, prudence especially with wealth, wine and women and the priest and proper celebration of word and sacrament were other topics treated during this integrated pastoral formation.
