Reckoned as a sacrament instituted by Christ, the Catholic priesthood is greatly appreciated as a gift from God to the Church; the most sublime vocation to which men are called by God to offer the gift of themselves to the service of God’s kingdom. This sums up the reason for the immeasurable joy that radiates in one who is not just being chosen as a priest, but is also attaining remarkable heights in the Vineyard of the Lord, as in such situations, the benevolence of God is once again made manifest and recognized by all. Such was the joy that engulfed one of our formators, Rev. Fr. Dr. Anthony Igbekele, who, in appreciation to God, marked his 25th Priestly Anniversary on the 25th of August, 2017. The celebration of this feat which was, however, deferred and held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Oke-Padre, Ondo, on the 21st of October, 2017, had the presence of some seminarians and formators who ably represented the Seminary of Saints Peter and Paul, Bodija, at the event.
