The Church teaches us that it is a corporal work of mercy to bury the dead. In fulfilling this obligation, amidst tears, one of the illustrious sons, a member of the 1983 set of Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary, was laid to rest. The funeral Mass, which took place on Friday, 19th October 2018 at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, Itesi, Abeokuta was packed with the faithful who came to pay their last respect. There were over 136 priests in attendance. Also present were Anthony Cardinal Okogie, Archbishop Alfred A. Martins of Lagos and Archbishop Gabriel Abegunrin of Ibadan; and of course, the Chief Celebrant, the Local Ordinary of Abeokuta Diocese, Most Rev. Peter Odetoyinbo. The seminary was ably represented by the Rector, Very Rev. Fr. Francis Adesina and the Vice rector, Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Ehwerido and 27 seminarians.
