The Acting Rector, Fr. Anthony Ewherido chose to share a reflection on the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5:1ff). Jesus’ exclusive teaching to the apostles is likened to the seminary training. With this, he calls for an authentic disposition and conscious exploration of the wealth that the seminary offers, that the candidate may accrue and build up priestly character.  He enjoined brothers to explore the Scriptures, not just for academic purposes but more sublimely, as a source of spiritual growth.

Fr. Ewherido further encouraged brothers to make the most of the Lenten season, which commences the following day, Wednesday, 6th of March, 2019, for the joy of Easter becomes more meaningful and real only when Lenten season is well valued.  On the gubernatorial elections, he calls for mass exercise of franchise but in conscience.  More so, he entreated brothers to participate actively in the forth coming liturgical-cultural celebrations of the diocese of Idah and Uromi as these celebrations are not restricted to those from such cultures. Rather, they are activities of the entire seminary community.
