BODIJA RESUME A NEW FORMATION SESSION
Friday, October 4, 2019

The atmosphere of our beloved Seminary and indeed the feelings amidst her children; seminarians from various parts of the country and beyond, were those of excitement and joy as the seminary officially resumed for the 2019/2020 Academic/Formation Session on the 2nd October, 2019, following the successful completion of the summer holidays. The formative year was officially inaugurated on Friday, 4th October, 2019 with the inaugural mass which was presided over by the Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Ibadan, Most Rev Gabriel ’Leke Abegunrin. In his homily, the Archbishop invited all seminarians to be truly open to formation in order to be formed according to the mind of Christ. Only through that will the earth be truly renewed. Just after the Holy Mass, all who were present proceeded to the Seminary Auditorium for the inaugural talk. The lecture titled The Dialectics Of Auto-Guided Formation: The Seminarian as an Agent of Formation was delivered by one of our revered formators, Rev. Fr. Dr. Anselm Jimoh and moderated by Professor Isaac Ukpokolo, a renowned lecturer of the prestigious University of Ibadan. The lecture was indeed timely and well-delivered, emphasizing the inestimable place of seminarians in their own formation and the need for openness in the project of formation. The session, which was an engaging one, had the input of the audience in the form of questions and contributions. It was indeed a great event with which to begin the academic/formation year in the life of our seminary.
