The 2019/2020 academic/formation session has witnessed the inclusion of a new formator, Rev. Fr. Francis Adelabu, to the formation team of Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija, Ibadan. Fr. Adelabu, a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Ekiti, who arrived in the month of October 2019, is a biblical scholar. Ordained in August 2007, Fr. Adelabu worked briefly in his diocese for two years as the Assistant Cathedral Administrator and Diocesan Secretary. He was, thereafter, sent to Rome by his Local Ordinary. In Rome, he bagged a Licentiate and Doctorate degrees in biblical science. He wrote his doctoral thesis on Abraham’s cycle (Gen. 12-25) and he is an expert in biblical languages (Biblical Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic and Syriac). He speaks Italian, German, English and Yoruba quite fluently. He currently teaches Introduction to Biblical Hebrew, Introduction to the New Testament and Homiletics. As he joins the formation team, we wish him a fruitful stay in his alma mater.
