The spiritual formation is one of the four areas of priestly formation, with the principal aim of configuring the candidate into the person of Christ. Such aim is, however, fostered and achieved in our seminary community through the various mediums, such as recollection, faith sharing programme, retreats, amidst others. These platforms enable the candidate to develop a closer and personal relationship with God, love for the scriptures and Eucharist, and a spirit of service to God and His people. Having resumed after the Christmas holidays, the seminary community had its first faith sharing programme for the year 2020, on the 28th January. During the programme, the seminarians were exposed to the treasures of the scriptures and the Catholic faith, which were then applied to their lives with the aim of transforming them into the person of Christ. The theme for the January edition was Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52). At exactly 5:30pm, all the seminarians gathered at their various points of meeting, having been divided into various groups, in order to adequately reflect on the given theme. The faith sharing programme is always appreciated by seminarians, as it becomes another medium where they also help one another spiritually, on their journey to the Sacred Priesthood.
