The pains of motherhood were felt by Mother Bodija, with the events of the passing away of some of her sons; Rev. Fr. Samuel Oritsegbemi Akuirene, Msgr. Valentine Awoyemi, Very Rev. Fr. Robert (Bob) Ehirim, and Msgr. Pius O Nwaobi. Until the moment of their passing away into eternal glory, each of these men had worked as priests in various capacities and different dioceses/congregations. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Valentine Awoyemi, who departed this world on the 3rd July, 2020, was the Chancellor of Ijebu-Ode Diocese and the President of the Alumni Association of Ss. Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija. Rev. Fr. Samuel Oritsegbemi Akuirene was a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Warri. Very Rev. Fr. Robert (Bob) Ehirim was a priest of the Diocese of Issele-Uku and the Director of Emmaus School of Evangelization, Issele-Uku. Msgr. Pius O Nwaobi was also a priest of Diocese of Issle-Uku and a Spiritual Director at St. Felix Seminary, Ejeme Aniogor. The sad news of the demise of Br. Patmaria Njim, CSsR, on the 20th of August, 2020, was also received by the Seminary Community. He was a seminarian of the Redemptorist Community until his death.

The Seminary of Saints Peter and Paul, Bodija, commiserates with the dioceses and congregations of these noble men, and the entire Bodija Family. May God grant eternal rest to the dead and consolation to all those who mourn, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
