The Roman Catholic Church has a number of offices and titles which she confers on her faithful for ecclesiastical functions, and one of such is the title of Papal Chaplains or Monsignor. The title signifies a priest, who has distinguished himself in his priestly duties and has been honoured by the Pope for his service to the Church. It is in this light that the Holy Father, Pope Francis, honoured the Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku with the conferral of Papal Chaplains or Monsignor on five of her priests. They are:        Rt. Rev. Monsignor John Ike Aduba, Rt. Rev. Monsignor Parker Matthew Ogboi, Rt. Rev. Monsignor Augustine Ojei, Rt. Rev. Monsignor Michael Nwokolo, and Rt. Rev. Monsignor Miletus Eze. The entire community of Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija, congratulates the Bishop of Issele-Uku – Most Rev. Dr. Michael Odogwu Elue, our dear Monsignors, and the entire Diocese of Issele-Uku for such great feat. May God bless and sustain them in His vineyard. Amen.
