The Seminary of Ss. Peter and Paul, Bodija, Ibadan, Nigeria was thrown into a joyful frenzy on Thursday 17th of January when the Metropolitan Archbishop of Ibadan, Most Rev. Gabriel Abegunrin announced to all the members of the community, staff and students, the appointment of the Rector of the Seminary, Very Rev. Fr. Francis Obafemi Adesina, as the Bishop of Ijebu-Ode.  His appointment comes after the Holy Father, Pope Francis, accepted the resignation of Most Rev. Albert Fasina as Bishop of Ijebu-Ode.  The Seminary community rejoices with the Bishop-elect, Rt. Rev. Monsignor Francis Obafemi Adesina. We pray that the Lord may grant him the grace he needs to take up the new assignment and higher service as Shepherd of the Church in Ijebu-Ode.  We call on all people of goodwill to join us in prayer for him and the Diocese of Ijebu-Ode.  May the Lord bless the retired Bishop, Most Rev. Albert Fasina.
