The National Association of Catholic Theology Students (NACATHS) had their first lecture for the 2019/2020 academic/formation session on Friday, 18th of October, 2019. The paper titled The Centrality of Davar Adonai: A Study of Aperuit Illis and its Implications for Contemporary Theological Discourse, was delivered by Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Adelabu, a member of the formation team, and ably moderated by Rev. Fr. Victor Chuks Nwabueze, OMV. The crux of the paper discussed the central place of the Sacred Scriptures in the life, witness and mission of the believer, and the utmost need for pastors to be faithful to the sublime task of preaching the Word of God to Christ’s faithful; a task that extends even to the seminarians and students of theology of this age, as they journey towards being priests after God’s heart. The session, which began at exactly 4:00pm, was an enriching one, as it spurred questions, clarifications and contributions amongst the audience; priests and seminarians inclusive.
