On 14 th November, 2023, the newly appointed 33 rd Comptroller General of the Nigeria
Immigration Service, Oyo State Command, Afolayan Ayeni, with his Deputy and other
Immigration Officers as well as the Immigration Security personnel, paid a courtesy visit to
the Seminary of Ss. Peter and Paul, Bodija, Ibadan.
Compt. Afolayan Ayeni, during his address to the Acting Rector of the Seminary, Fr.
Anthony Oluwagbemiga Igbekele, with the Seminary Registrar, Fr. Hubert Opara, in
attendance, appreciated the Seminary and the Catholic Church at large for a wonderful
display of disciplined friendship and collaboration over time. He thus requested that such
long-term friendship between the Immigration Service of Oyo State Command and the
Seminary should continue during his tenure and consequently solicited more collaboration
with the Seminary especially with regards to utilization of the Seminary’s sporting facilities.
In his response, the Acting Rector, on behalf of the Seminary, welcomed the team and
appreciated the courtesy extended to the Seminary by the Oyo State Comptroller and his
team. He commended the commitment of the Nigeria Immigration Service to excellence
since its foundation and encouraged the Service to keep the flag of excellence flying. The
Acting Rector concluded by assuring the Nigeria Immigration Service, Oyo State Command,
of continuous collaboration and friendship.
