The recognition and appreciation of the immense love that God has bestowed on Fr. Anthony Ewherido spurred his family and friends to specially celebrate his 60^th Birthday; an age he clocked on the 8th of October, 2020. This magnificent celebration, which took place on 10th October, 2020, witnessed the entrance of Fr. Tony’s families, friends, well-wishers, colleagues and many others, into the compound of Ss. Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija, Ibadan. The event began with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 9:00am. Present at this Eucharistic Celebration were His Grace, Most Rev. Gabriel ’Leke Abegunrin (Metropolitan Archbishop of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province), Most Rev. Dr. Felix Alaba Job (Emeritus Archbishop of Ibadan Archdiocese), Most Rev. Dr. Peter Kayode Odetoyinbo (Bishop of Abeokuta Diocese), and Most Rev. Dr. Francis Obafemi Adesina (Bishop of Ijebu-Ode Diocese), priests, and consecrated persons. The homilist at the Mass was Rev. Fr. Hubert Opara. Just before the close of the Mass, Fr. Tony had a dance of thanksgiving to the sanctuary, with his offerings being received by His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Felix Alaba Job. Afterwards, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Gabriel ’Leke Abegunrin, addressed the celebrant and all who were present on the importance of the occasion.

The other half of the celebration was social the reception and it was filled with various expressions of love and thanksgiving in honour of Fr. Tony Ewherido. We thank God once more for the gift of life and for all the blessings that he has bestowed on Fr. Tony Ewherido, as we pray for more of God’s unending love and favours on him for the rest of his years on earth.
